Use the information about each musher on the musher's bio at Iditarod.com website or a musher's personal website, to create a list of important facts about the musher. Remember, you WILL NOT find the same facts about each of the mushers. (For example, not every musher lists the birth date or age of the musher, so do not expect each card to have the identical type of information. Students should choose what they feel is interesting and important about each musher helps students understand each musher and make stronger connections.)
On the left side of the card, students should draw a musher's portrait or glue a picture of the musher.
Make the cards the appropriate size for your students. (This card could be folded in half and taped to have a front and back or this could be used as the front of the card and students could write a summary about this musher's race on the back of this card.)
