Stage #1: The Neighborhoods
Each student was given a large space in which to create a home.
They started with planning their home using a spreadsheet (graph paper) and working on a budget.
The budget was set at $225,000. Land cost was $20,000. Cost per square foot to build = $114
The minimum requirements for the home were clear.
Bonus credit was given for creativity and realism.
That said...there were no limits on basic materials and styles.
